Isn’t discovering shopping patterns based on previous history clustering? I got this question wrong in the third section on introduction to clustering. Please explain

    Hi Natasha,

Thank you for your question – clustering is the unsupervised machine learning technique that finds new patterns in data that were previously undiscovered. I believe the intention of the answer is to specify that it is not based on previous discovered patterns, which is supervised machine learning.

I can understand why the phrasing may have been unclear, so I will look over this question and adjust the language to make sure that it alleviates any confusion in the future.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
